Lilan
Alignment: Neutral
Favored Weapon: Scythe
Domains: Death, War, Destruction, Darkness, Repose
As the goddess of death, Lilan stands for the eventual end of all things. She has a poor reputation among the common folk, but her followers insist that death is a natural process and that it is necessary for life to continue. There are few who are followers of Lilan, due to her unpopularity, but these few are devout. It is said the Lilan comes for those who die. This is egotistical, a goddess does not have time for every individual. Instead, Lilans most devout followers are reborn as Angels of Death that serve her, and they carry the souls of the dead to their respective planes. Lilan oversees and manages this all, and does so calmly and without passion or judgement. She is unloved by all the other gods, but she does not care, and those who have claimed to have visions of her speak of a gloominess and a morbid sense of humor that pervades her every interaction.

Lilan was born, and carved her place in the universe, after Alira. The myth goes that Alira’s life was overpopulating the earth, and would soon completely overtake it. Lilan stepped in and created the curse (or the blessing) of death, ensuring that all creatures would die. As a result, the two goddesses are bitter rivals, and hate eachother due to the polar opposites that they represent. Solaris disapproves of Lilan because her effect on the world is ultimately disorderly, but can do nothing because her power matches his own. The other gods and goddesses accept her because they understand her logic, and because they have no choice.
